I undertook my Masters of Arts with University of San Francisco and Washington State University. The International Leadership Progam (ISLP) is unique in that it combines a Masters program with a Washington State Principal Certification specifically designed for teachers in the EARCOS regions. The course is both on-line and on site classes – meeting for an intense week of classes during both EARCOS Leadership and Teacher conventions. (Click here to learn more)
It was an amazing opportunity, not only to learn leadership skills and knowledge, but to meet and network with like minded international educators within the EARCOS region. My professors were amazing. So knowledgable and inspiring. Class discussions were also so engaging and sharing all our international educational experiences was memorable.
During 4 terms (and 4 EARCOS conferences) I studied topics such as Educational Leadership, Education Law, Application Development, Finance, Data Based Decision Making, and Human Resource Management as well as satisfy requirements of my Leadership Internship.
To complete the Masters of Arts, I was required to complete a Masters Field Project. I chose to explore Middle Leadership at my (then) current school YCIS Qingdao. (Click here to view my completed Masters Field Project)
For Washington State Principalship, I was required to submit a Collection of Evidence (COE) to a panel of WSU professors and superintendents from Washington State Education for approval. (Click here to view my completed COE)
